Water-Resistant
Inks
The only truly water-proof inks are pigmented inks, which are available only
for a few printers*. If you have a printer that uses dye-based inks, there is an
option available to make the dye-based inks more water-resistant.
To do this, we add a special chemical compound to our normal inks, which
makes them more resistant to smudging and highlighters. If you need your
printouts to be waterproof, we suggest using a laminate spray which will give
your printout a protective coating against moisture and UV-rays (we offer a
laminate spray for $15.00 a bottle, part number AC-WPS).
The water-resistant option raises the price of bulk inks by about 50%. This
option is not available through our website. If you are interested in ordering
them, please call us at 800 547 3303.

* For example, most HP, Xerox and Lexmark black cartridges,
except for the oldest, use a pigmented black ink. Additionlly, Epson printer
models Stylus C64, C80, C82, C84 and CX6400 use pigmented inks for all four
colors.
